Microphysogobio tafangensis
Microphysogobio tafangensis was first described in 1935 by Wang. The genus name Microphysogobio can be divided into three words. Micro means small, physinx means bladder (referring to a small swim bladder in this genus) and gobio which is a goby.
Description
Microphysogobio tafangensis can reach an overall length of about 10 centimeters. Males can be distinguished from females by their sail-like dorsal fin. The fin membrane has a bluish tint and the fin rays are red in color. The pictures show only males, as females have not yet been exported.
Origin
 This species is found only in China . Microphysogobio tafangensis inhabits the Qiantang River in the southern province of Zhejiang. They live in the fast-flowing parts of the river.
