Grammatotria lemairii
Grammatotria lemairii was first described by Boulenger in 1899. The name Grammatotria originates from ancient Greek, consisting of two parts: ‘gramma,’ which means mark or signal, and ‘tria,’ which means tree.
Biotope
Grammatotria lemairii is found throughout Lake Tanganyika, inhabiting sandy bottoms at depths ranging from 5 to 75 meters.
Diet
The diet of Grammatotria lemairii mainly consists of invertebrates and snails, which they catch from the sand. In aquariums, they can be fed shrimp, krill, and mysis.
