Vor Jahren kam ein einzelnes Tier über Brasilien vom Oyapock nach Deutschland. Leider in keinem guten Zustand. Ingo Seidel und Hans Evers ...bildeten das Exemplar im Welsatlas II des Mergus Verlages ab. Das war bislang das einzige Lebenszeichen dieser attraktiven unbeschriebenen Art. Als die Aquanet Expedition im Okt. 2017 die Tiere entdeckte, kam von Ingo die Aufforderung, unbedingt mitbringen. Hier werden Aufnahmen des Fisches in seinem Lebensraum gezeigt. Wir konnten vier Gruppen nach Deutschland mitbringen und hoffen, gemeinsam für Nachzuchterfolge zu sorgen.
Die im Lebensraum verborgene Lebensweise ist vermutlich der Grund warum diese Art so lange unentdeckt blieb. Im Aquarium ohne Fressfeinde halten die Fische sich nicht im verborgenen auf sondern sind eher tagaktiv wie die anderen Guyanancistrus Arten.Show More

Da quando ho comprato il mio primo acquario di seconda mano all’età di dodici anni, ho sempre avuto uno o più acquari. Ho persino trasformato un garage in una sala di allevamento dove avevo 50 acquari contenenti circa 10.000 litri d’acqua. Al momento ho due acquari: un acquario Tanganyika da 1.250 litri e un acquario comunitario da 250 litri con piante. Negli ultimi 10 anni ho lavorato a questo sito web come scrittore e fotografo.
