¡Buenos días! Soy Carlos Lasso y trabajo en el Instituto ...de Investigación de Recursos Biológicos Alexander von Humboldt, y ahora estamos en Caños Cristales. Estamos trabajando en un proyecto de investigación, un proyecto de conservación para la corporación ambiental de la región, que se llama Cormacarena. Nuestra ubicación de estudio es Caño Cristales, que es un río muy interesante, que sirve para fines de ecoturismo de una manera muy organizada, siendo un ejemplo a seguir en otras partes del país. El equipo de investigación está formado por un grupo líder del El Instituto Humboldt y la ayuda de la Corporación Cormacarena, la Universidad del Quindío, la Universidad de La Guajira, la Universidad del Tolima, la Universidad Nacional y la Universidad de los Andes, están estudiando la biodiversidad acuática, que es el encanto mágico de Caño Cristales y la región. Y también estudian otros elementos de la fauna salvaje.
La cordillera Macarena es uno de los sitios más emblemáticos de Colombia. No solo por su potencial turístico, sino por la majestuosidad de la gran biodiversidad que lo habita. También es uno de los lugares que realmente no se ha estudiado mucho. Es por eso que, junto con el equipo de Alexander von Humboldt, hemos decidido realizar una serie de estudios de investigación que conducirían a una mejor comprensión de la flora y la fauna, especialmente de la sección Caño Cristales. De esta manera, no solo contribuimos al conocimiento científico de nuestra biodiversidad, sino que también ofrecemos nuestra información turística sobre todas aquellas especies que hacen de este un sitio maravilloso. Nuestros mamíferos, flora y fauna que están presentes aquí son únicos y dignos de descubrir.
Soy Ivan Mikolji y estoy aquí para filmar la expedición RAP, y para mí este es uno de los sitios más espectaculares del mundo. La importancia de esta expedición es que "No puedes preservar algo que no sabes que existe". Si no sabemos qué hay en el río, qué está volando en el cielo, los mamíferos y los reptiles, no hay forma de preservarlos. Esta es una gran oportunidad para reunir toda esta información y conocer lo que tenemos, por lo tanto, descubrir lo que tenemos que preservar.
Mi nombre es Angélica Díaz, soy bióloga y trabajo en el Instituto Humboldt y estoy tratando con mamíferos medianos y grandes. Queremos saber qué especies se encuentran aquí y su población. Estamos usando cámaras trampa colocadas en el área forestal cercana. Estamos instalando 20 cámaras y dejándolas funcionar durante un mes con una distancia entre ellas de aproximadamente 1 kilómetro para cubrir una buena área del DMI. Estamos esperando sorpresas, y ya hemos encontrado huellas de gran fauna. Entre los que hemos visto, armadillos gigantes, huellas de Tapir, que son una sorpresa para nosotros, ya que son pistas turísticas cercanas. Aunque las pistas turísticas están cerca, los tapires todavía están allí, por lo que es un tipo de convivencia y un punto interesante para evaluar en el área.
Por supuesto, trabajamos con líderes e investigadores, participantes locales del municipio que nos rodea, especialmente de la vereda de la Cachivera. La idea es formarnos en las técnicas de recopilación de datos, campo, seguimiento e identificación in situ de especies. Y lo que queremos hacer es crear una serie de productos científicos e informativos. Queremos publicar un libro sobre la biodiversidad acuática y terrestre de la región con increíbles fotos subacuáticas tomadas por un fotógrafo reconocido internacionalmente, Ivan Mikolji. También parte de los productos es este video. Queremos hacer carteles, trípticos, información que se pueda colocar en toda la ciudad de Macarena, en Parks, en la Corporación y en el ayuntamiento, etc. para que el turista y otros usuarios tengan acceso lo.
Mi nombre es Pedro Visceral y soy oficial de Cormacarena. Estoy acompañando al grupo Humboldt para llevar a cabo su investigación sobre Caño y la biodiversidad del área. Llevo casi un año trabajando con ellos y ha sido extremadamente hermoso para mí porque hay muchas cosas que no sabemos que se encuentran en el área que son importantes. Y en realidad no hay nadie interesado en investigar sobre ellos y me gusta la idea de este proyecto porque es algo que nadie ha hecho.
Esencialmente, el trabajo es una evaluación rápida, ya que tenemos poco tiempo y es muy costoso llegar aquí y es un área que afortunadamente con las negociaciones de paz en curso se ha vuelto mucho más pacífica. Llegamos a San Fernando de Atabapo 36 horas después de nuestra salida de Buenos Aires y allí nos estaba esperando Saúl, para alojarnos en su posada y brindarnos ...toda su ayuda para nuestras expediciones mostrándose muy interesado. Saúl ya había participado en algunos documentales de alemanes y de japoneses en la zona, conociendo también a los primeros recolectores del Uaru Fernandezyepezi. Un valor muy importante que nos aportó muchísimo.
El Morichal palabra utilizada por los lugareños por ser un biotopo donde abundan las palmas del Moriche y que necesitan tener las raíces sumergidas en la temporada de lluvias o muy húmedas en la temporada seca.
En este biotopo se encuentran casi las mismas especies que en las aguas negras siendo el agua muy pura y ácida pero prácticamente transparente, en este caso plagada de tetras, incluyendo neones y muchísimos otros peces de acuario.
Los parámetros en este biotopo el 6 de noviembre de 2012 eran de:
Temperatura: 26,1°C
Agua Clara: totalmente transparente.
PH: 4,35.-
Conductividad: 6us
Compuestos nitrogenados: (0 NH3/Nh4), 0 NO2, 0 NO3)
Fondo: Arenoso en zonas de mayor corriente y en remansos lecho de hojas.

We arrived in San Fernando de Atabapo 36 hours after our departure from Buenos Aires and there Saúl was waiting for us, to stay at his inn and give us all his help for our expeditions, showing himself very interested. Saúl had already participated in some documentaries of Germans and Japanese in the area, also meeting the first collectors of the Uaru Fernandezyepezi. A very important value that gave us a lot.
The Morichal word used by the locals for being a biotope where Moriche palms abound and that need to have their roots submerged in the rainy season or very wet in the dry season.
In this biotope there are almost the same species as in the black waters, the water being very pure and acidic but practically transparent, in this case full of tetras, including neons and many other aquarium fish.
The parameters in this biotope on November 6, 2012 were:
Temperature: 26.1 ° C
Clear Water: totally transparent.
PH: 4.35.-
Conductivity: 6us
Nitrogen compounds: (0 NH3 / Nh4), 0 NO2, 0 NO3)

This type of small, clearwater ...creek is a typical habitat for these fishes, but they can also be found in slightly larger, shallow rivers. Some 500m downstream this creek enters the Rio Orinoco main branch near the confluence of the Rio Orinoco and Rio Atabapo.

Da quando ho comprato il mio primo acquario di seconda mano all’età di dodici anni, ho sempre avuto uno o più acquari.
