Corydoras gossei
Corydoras gossei is a peaceful bottom dweller that should be kept in a school of at least 6. The aquarium may be densely planted. However, a part of the bottom must be kept free where they can dig for food. This part must be provided with fine gravel or rounded sand so that the barbels are not damaged.
They look very much like Corydoras seussi. The difference is easily seen in the snout. Corydoras seussi has a much longer snout and pointed snout. The snout of Corydoras gossei is somewhat much rounder in shape, see also the difference in this photo.

Diet
They are omnivores with a preference for live food.
Breeding Corydoras gossei
Breeding Corydoras gossei is fairly simple. A water change of about 50 percent is sufficient to promote spawning. Up to 150 eggs are deposited between plants. It is wise to remove the parents after spawning. After 2 days the young hatch and another 4 days later they swim free. They can be raised on brine shrimp nauplii.
